And then Ben said:

Hey Mike, I sympathize, of course, with your situation. But really, I think you are making too much of this Vlog week thing. You already say, "I vlog everyday with my Fugi Finepix E510 and Windows Movie Maker." Well maybe one time you did. Perhaps this part of your journey has made you realize how difficult that actually is. Ya just a thought.
Ben Ben Ben...Touche! I do vlog every day, but I don't post every day. Vlogging and posting aren't exclusive to each other. Vlogging is shooting and/or editing and/or uploading and/or conceptualizing and/or buying new equipment and/or going to node 101 and/or losing a USB cable on a hike and/or meeting Des in Montreal and/or dreaming of meeting Cooking Kitty Corner before it actually happens.

I do vlog every day. But I don't post every day. Nor have I ever. Nor would you ever want me to. And this (above mentioned) list of self inflicted expectations is a hard list to complete a few times a week, let alone on a daily basis! I literally had 30 minutes to create and broadband today's video. Plus I had to eat, and find parking outside futureshop, and repair a dodgey wifi connection. This is really stressful and unfun.

I really need to show you the life of a dial up videoblogger. You know what? I haven't even watched a single vlog from videoblogging week 2006. Not a single one. I'm all alone people!

To me, videobloggingweek2006 is about re-teaching myself the importance of quality over quantity.

The views expressed in this post do not necessarily reflect the views of Josh Leo, who is also killing himself but trying to make believe that it's art.

May I just say your title change made my visit to your site just wonderful. Very funny and creative. Good work.
PS I don't know if I totally agree with your definition of vlogging as stated above. I think those things are part what one must do to have a vlog but I don't know that they are vlogging.

I couldn't even imagine going back to dial-up so I whole heartedly sympathize with you on that part. I am, however, glad that you video blog. Your site is one of the few video blogging sites that I've bookmarked. Some just seem too boring or that the person has no personality at all. A good personality is key and you've got it! Keep up the good work.
