Josh Leo Sightings

Sometimes the journey is just as much fun as getting there. Josh Leo's Vlog.

Schmap Portland

I am pleased to announce my inclusion into the Schmap guide to Portland, Oregon. I guess this means that I'm a good photographer. Schmap is a freeware online guide to attractions and sights in major US and European cities, and they garnish the directories with Creative Commons licensed pictures that were located on sights like Flickr. I just so happened to be picked!

The guide is actually pretty handy, and if any of my readers is planning a trip in the near future I'd defiantly recommend you give it a look see.

I'm going to visit Josh Leo in Grand Rapids, MI this weekend. And I'll visit you any time you like, on Second Life.

I have never met a woman your age who did not know how to spell the word "penis."

Take Note

I do enjoy a good google at least 4 times a day, minimum.

I know, I know. My obsessive dependance on said search engine is most likely unhealthy and ultimately destructive, but it feels SOO good.

Lately, Google has been appeasing it's users addiction by releasing wickedly cool apps to organize one's life beyond perfection. Enter: Google Notebook. Read up and join in, everyone's doing it!

I've made my notebook public. Anybody can hit it up and see my FYI.

It's also taking up permanant residance in the sidebar, zipped up in My Backpack.

Second Anniversary!

Today was my blog's second anniversary. It passed by quietly.

I found myself flying a kite in the park, alone, with an ice cream cone. I wanted to leave, to go find people (mainly Renee, who had just abandoned me), but the string to the kite had to be wound up first, and that required two hands, really. The cone and ice cream was just too big and delicious for me to throw out, or stick in my mouth all at once.

Concede defeat.

Licking away my afternoon, I contemplated the achievements of a second year under my belt in this blogging world. Fantastic, isn't it? Only two years old and I feel as though I've archived a lifetime of memories.

Immortal.

Strawberry Sherbert.

I changed my header a few days ago. I think I'm going to do this once a year. The last time I changed it was last year's anniversary, and I just so happened to be in Squamish, British Columbia on the date. Thus, that beautiful mountain inlet scene which made me homesick for the west for 365 days.

This year's photo is significant to me. I'm standing still next to the future, giving myself a moment to get loose of the past (debt) so I can freely run towards the horizon, my eye on the prize.

Of Mice and Men

Jeremy and I visited the wind turbines in Shelburne so he could test out his sweet new lenses and his new Nikon D200, and I could vlog him testing out his sweet new lenses. Much fun was to be had under these industrial wonders.

Don't try this at home, kids!

Change of fate

Watch the vlog

Toni asked Jeremy and I to help her pick out a new laptop for her own use on Thursday afternoon. Sometimes fate has a funny way of making things better.

P.S. I made this video large on purpose. I can't decide if I want to go back to 15 fps just yet. Is the video size giving anybody problems? Do you prefer 30fps? Let me know if you must.

Fly a kite

Watch the vlog

Toni, Jeremy and I took off after church for some fun in the May sun. We got eaten alive by mysterious insects, but still managed to take in a healthy dose of vitamine D and get my new kite in the air. Then...I passed the kite to Toni. This vlog ensued.
