Skating on The Forks

Adam and I went skating yesterday on The Forks ice trails. It was a load of fun, and there's even points where the trail goes up and down hill: A first for me in skates. I didn't fall once and was thoroughly tired by the second time round. The skates are cheap to rent at $3.50 for unlimited use. I'll certainly be back there before the winter is over.

In a later post, I return to skate on the longest ice trail in the world.

Now this is ice skating I can wrap my head around. So much better than just going around in circles. Another reason to love Canada!

@M: The cold doesn't really matter until it reaches a true -40C (-40F) in which case, it becomes a little difficult to breath. So long as I bundle up and wear layers I can remain perfectly warm!

@T: They were really fun. Winnipeg this year has the longest natural ice rink in the world, a whopping 8Km!
