Curling: that's what she said

I got an invite to go curling for the first time in my life. Nobody there really knew how to play, so we were instead guided by the energies of our great Canadian forefathers and battled through a few rounds of this most social game.

Looks like fun. I think the last time I ever 'played' curling was in juniour high, and all I could remember was bruising my tailbone when I fell down hard...ah, fun times :)

If I just lay here... said...

Nice.
My parents were hardcore curlers in the 80's.
I think of curling like I think of people when they tell me that my brother is hot,

"I have no idea what you see in that."

After watching this video I have learned something. I think part of the skill of curling is convincing those observering that you know exactly what is going on. I would say that is 75% of the battle won, actually. If you can look serious on ice with brooms, you've got it.

If we ha curling here I think thats all I would be doing. That's what she said.

Awesome video.

That was hilarious.

"curling is just a gigantic 'that's what she said.'" Priceless! I laughed out loud. Which really brings to mind the need that I not watch vlogs at work.

@ S: Ahh memories.

@ V: You are dessert :P

@ IIJLH: It all depends on what team you're batting for!

@ T: So what you're saying is we looked like a circus :)

@ M Dub: Ha! Curling in Texas would be as underground as the underground railroad.

@ D: Glad to do my part shaping your career.

This video just made my day!!!

You don't know me, but my name is Brianna. You were curling with 5 of my closest friends. I am currently living in Cambodia until mid summer, otherwise we would have met by now. I have stumbled upon your site via Facebook. I must admit, I really enjoy watching your videos. I haven't watched them all, but what I see I like!

Thanks!

T & Ben and Jay: My pleasure :)

Kyle: The rock was in the house? I had no idea! And I had no idea that curling was so fun...and so well lit! You kept this dirty little secret of me for far too long :P

Bri: You would have problems watching all my videos. There's over 280 of them! I'm glad that I could unite you with some of your closest friends. Anticipate a facebook invite from me soon as well :)

Well during my perusal of Manitoba Blogs you seem to be the going concern.

Ahh Curling. I curled for over a decade, but it was back in the 70s when Clubs still provided ashtrays out on the sheets...which is why I refer to it as a Game and NOT a sport.

That being said, if my parents had not gone Bonspieling every weekend I would have never been able to host of those great parties.
