Melissa and our amazing story

You don't want to miss this! I met Melissa for the first time today, but she was introduced to me nearly two years ago on a bus in a foreign country! Now we're not only living in the same city, but working across the road from each other!. She's got an infectious laugh and a quick whit: we were instantly compatible. I'm glad that we've met and can be friends!

Camera Shy

Watch the Video

I set out on a mission to buy a new camera. It turned out to be mission impossible.

If you've been wondering why I haven't posted in a week, I will admit that my creativity has been soaked up by a huge sponge of troubleshooting. I'm only now recovering.

This video is huge, because I wanted to show in a higher resolution the difference between the cameras I tried out. 620x480 and 30 fps

The Montreal Collective

The Montreal Collective

Subscribe to "The Montreal Collective!"

This is one part of a mini series about meeting some very incredible vloggers in Montreal. This is Des's creation, and she expresses a truth that I have felt but been unable to articulate for two weeks since our visit together in beautiful Vieux-Montréal. www.creativelyimpulsive.com, http://cookingkittycorner.blogspot.com, and http://lifesajourney.blogspot.com became flesh and blood and embraced for the first time!

We like each other. A whole lot.

We've started a collabrative artistic endeavour that we're sure you'll enjoy. It's called "The Montreal Collective" and if you click on that link, you'll find some more video and photos and...who knows what else? Old stories made new are going to begin trickling onto the feed in the upcoming weeks and maybe months.

We sent each other all our source footage, and using our own creative editing styles we're going to explore the beauty of storytelling with 3 different camera angles. Some of it might be a repeat from another video, but I'm excited for the depth of personality each view will provide the other.

So what should you do? Bookmark The Montreal Collective. Or if you're really keen, subscribe using iTunes or FireANT and the new videos will be downloaded automatically to your computer while you're doing other things. I wonder how many subscribers we can get in a week?

And watch the videos. And then leave a comment or two, and follow other commenters links and get to know them. I'm enjoying the idea of uniting our viewers through this somehow. Make my dream a reality!

Guest Appearance on Cooking Kitty Corner

When I got invited by Pat and Kim to spend the weekend with appear on Cooking Kitty Corner, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I had an amazing time hanging out with these two quality people in the heart of Toronto. As a vlogger living on the Ontarian countryside (with dial up) I'd jump on any opportunity to meet up and share experiences with any vlogger in reasonable traveling distance. But this weekend was even better. This weekend I made two great friends.
