A new look

As I mentioned in my previous handwritten post, I went on a shopping spree with Amanda earlier this week. I wasn't planning on doing any back to school shopping until the day it happened. I opened my drawers and found that everything I owned was aged and outdated. I was sick of dressing like a carefree 20 something. Bright colour tee shirts with prints. Jeans; blue. One pair of walking shoes.

This summer has been a time of further maturing for me. In fact, it began last semester when my world view was opened up through some of the courses I was taking. I am starting to feel like I'm 25, going on 26. I wanted to dress like it. I am recently single. I wanted to feel sexy. And that's where Amanda fit in.

Here's some of the clothes I purchased. Starting with the hat, which I picked out before Amanda arrived to the mall. It's a castro style that suits my noggin well. My old hat may well be retired, as it's fading with age.
New hat

I also picked out this pair of stylish black leather shoes all on my own. Apparently they need to be cleaned with a special solution twice a month, which coveres up the nics and keeps them hydrated. I've never undertaken such a responsibility. I hope I stick to it.
Shoes

Next is an American Eagle tee, with an eye catching print on the front. And over that is a Columbo style trench coat for fall and spring. This coat has a choker at the neck, as well as a waist buckle. I think it's got a sexy S&M edge to it. It's hard to imagine based on the present photo, but Amanda says it looks like I was picked off the streets of London's high fashion.
Shopping trip

Finally I'll show you my new blazer from The Bay. It's the first thing I've ever bought from The Bay, a store I previously thought was a snooty ultra snob club. But it seems I am now a full fledged member. The blazer breathes new life into any old tee shirt.
Blazer

Not pictured are a couple of belts and two pairs of classy slacks, one of which makes my ass look amazing.

I also bought a stylish and functional laptop bag for my new laptop, which I will review and post later. I love my new tablet PC. It is changing my life. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to a mouse.

Urges

Click to enlarge my first handwritten blog post on my new tablet pc:

Below is a direct translation of my handwriting into editable text. Imperfect, but it gets the job done! I likely won't be translating most of my hand writing to text, but it will be nice to run a search of my handwritten notes quickly. No more lost important pages!!!

chin had urges lately. Expensive
urges which have left me with a sizeable debt. I cant exactly pinpoint when they
began. Perhaps if was some time around
when I learned that my mom was morning to
wanted to purchase
Nova satay and d
plane tickets home for thanksgiving. other Reasons
could be that I just ended E 3 month
relationship and wanted something expensive
to occupy my time. OR perhaps it in
that school is starting in only a few weeks
and die been getting a back to school fever. Its probably a combination of all 3 corn. pounding upon one another.
So to tally up the damage:
-Iron flying home fore the weekend after
thanksgiving to see my family.
-I bought an HP TX 2108 TabletPC
for school. I will be taking all My notes for school on it. Its an experiment of unproven technology. I realize it aile come with its limitations but In looking forward to discovering how to wonk around them. Plus it makes by handwriting searchable! *
-I went shopping with Amanda and hit up a bunch of end of season sales. She freshened up my look and sod feel ready to take on the school year with a
confident style. My wardrobe was looking tired. d wanted something that said a This person is 26, not 15.9
P.S. Ion also growing any beard out for the first time ever.

See A Silver Lining Sells Out

I'm feeling optimistic about my latest adventure into the cyber marketplace. I've designed a tee shirt. It took me a few hours, and was inspired by the fantastic Valancy Jane. Support a starving university student and get a unique look!

I'm exhausted. Shirt designing really takes it out of you. This is only the beginning of Life's a journey: hardware and fashionable goods.

Fashion Alert!

I'm so glad that I know my good friend Mehrnoosh. Mehrnoosh graciously said she would help me update my wardrobe, which sadly has remined in stasis since 2002. Today I retired my brown zipper sweater and took to the strip malls of Orangeville in a blaze of vlogging glory.

My oldest shirt in the dresser was from 1999. It was an Aquire the Fire tee. My oh my, how the times have changed.

Blast to the past

I was perusing some of my older videos last evening and came across this little gem, a vlog of old when vlogging was new and limitless. Most of my beginning vlog posts are, in my opinion, unwatchable for even the most hardcore viewer. This one makes me smile at Jeremy's antics, Sarah's faithfulness, and my nice haircut and completion. Los Angeles sucked, but my skin does indeed miss the sunlight.

It's labour day, the officially unofficial last day of summer. There's still some things that I didn't get to enjoy this season.

Camera Shy

Watch the Video

I set out on a mission to buy a new camera. It turned out to be mission impossible.

If you've been wondering why I haven't posted in a week, I will admit that my creativity has been soaked up by a huge sponge of troubleshooting. I'm only now recovering.

This video is huge, because I wanted to show in a higher resolution the difference between the cameras I tried out. 620x480 and 30 fps

Hello Kelly, would you like a bag with that?

I met up with Francois after my hike and delicious meal from Super Burger, and he introduced me to his new band hopefulls. Hello Kelly just lost 3 members for various reasons, so when the going get's tough, the tough get picky. This is like "The Apprentice" for band fans.

We watched the movie "V for Vendetta" which was, surprisingly, exceptional. I mean, how good could it have possibly been. Have you seen the mask the main character wears? Who thinks of this crap? Yet, logic aside, fantastic.

To conclude the evening, Francois and his protoges picked up some power food for the next day's practice.

Bands can hire me for $30,000 a year plus paid accomodations.

Genesis 3

Watch the video

4The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die. 5God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. You'll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil."

6When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it--she'd know everything!--she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.

7Immediately the two of them did "see what's really going on"--saw themselves naked! They sewed fig leaves together as makeshift clothes for themselves.

Apple Store Surprise

I'm currently in the Yorkdale Apple store, in Toronto. I'm in heaven. Please don't come looking for me. Vlog to follow. I may very well be in thousands of dollars in debt by the time the night is over.

Winter in Canada: The Parade

Watch the video

My friend Renee and I were in the Christmas Parade this year for Orangeville, Ontario. The theme was 'Winter in Canada', and we were part of a 'Nunuvut Nativity'. None of you have ever heard of a Nunuvut Nativity. Nunuvut is only few years old anyways. Well, there were two Nunuvut Nativities in this parade. Our was lameHOMELY compared to theirs.

Renee forgot to bring anything warm so we had to stop off at the dollar store.

Meant to be

In my last post, I said my best friend Renee recently bought a book of the internet called "Blue Like Jazz," and it was one of her all time favorites. So I have to have it. I've decided that stealing doesn't go with my eye coulor, so I took the same route as Renee; Amazon.

But here's the clincher.

A few weeks ago, I visited with friends who I haven't seen in years, Michel and Denise, who live in Quebec. Michel told me that his latest fav was a book called "A new kind of Christian," and urged me to aquire a copy and read it. I didn't forget.

As I was researching my buying opportunities on Amazon, I noticed a nice little bundle;

Get Blue like Jazz and A New Kind of Christian together for $14 in savings!

Now I've got the best of both worlds!
